So this afternoon we went to the beach to go surfing. Yes, I do surf and yes, I can get up. Justin has two boards so the four of us went surfing. Drew and I went out together and had so much fun. He's so fun to surf with. Talk about killing you though. By the time I paddle out my upper body is so tired I only catch a few waves and I'm done.While on the beach this afternoon Drew and I noticed an area roped off. This is what we walked down to discover. It is called a monk seal and there are only 33 on our island. They are an endangered animal. She was on the beach molting. That means she comes up and lays there for about 3 weeks and takes in no food or water until all her fur and top two layers of skin shed. Then she goes back into the water. They have a name for her but I forgot. You can see a guy in the back ground. He is with the marine, animal, something society and they are watching her around the clock so no one bothers her. Since she is a female they want her to make it. There is a type of shark off these islands that has suddenly changed their eating habits and is now going after monk seals.
This place can be so fun!!!! Good day at Trinity. It's the church I love but can't attend. (long story) Just like my church in BG. Then a great day at the beach. Got up on my board. And also got to see the monk seal!!!
