Texas!!

So we arrived in Texas safe and sound!!! Starting to feel a little weary from all the unpacking, time change, not having beds yet (long story), etc...... but we are loving it. It feels so much like home and we have had a wonderful time getting reacquainted with old friends.

In all my tiredness I was a little emotional last night. I know it's hard to believe, me emotional. Ha Ha yes, I'm laughing with all of you. But God has given me some much needed quiet time this morning and I was reading a friends blog and read down her list of things that she was thankful for and it just spurred me to realize how very blessed I am. In all the chaos of life I have so much. So here goes my list..................

1. First and foremost I have to say God's word. I have been doing this study of God's love and I had put it down for a few days with the move. Well, I got back into it this morning and had about 10 verses to record. I am up to nine pages right now and it just blessed me and gave me such peace. God's word is so unbelievably rich. Find a guide if you need to but start recording His word. You will be astonished at how life changing it can be when you just submerge yourself in it. Okay, I'll get off my soap box!!!!

2. My family! These boys have been through so much in the last two years and while they still can pick and fight with each other they are wonderful children. They have held it together and we have stuck together through a lot. I couldn't do it without them and their funny, quirky ways. At that end of if all they always make me laugh!!!!!

3. My friends! Through all of this God has just so beautiful placed the gift of friends all along the way when I have needed it most. My friends are as goofy as I and I LOVE TO LAUGH WITH THEM.

4. Don't worry food is coming up!! We got to try some of the coolest food while we lived in Hawaii. Yes, we love SPAM!!! Had a great Thanksgiving feast with our friends the Kinney's. Already had some great BBQ here in Texas.

5. I don't want to leave out all the little blessing we don't realize. Getting something on sale, having a stranger smile at us, a sweet little pat on the back from the guy at Walmart, the dollar menu, a great office episode, towels drying in one cycle and saving the quarters, the list goes on and on. It's these things that God gives us each day that let us know just how much He loves us. This is one of my favorite!!!

Okay, so there you have it. We're in Texas and we are so very thankful!!!!
