This summer looks much different than last. It, to be honest, has been a struggle for me and something that I had to wrestle out with God.
Last summer it was a summer of fun, traveling, and literally just kinda flying by the seat of my pants. I took in two great pro baseball games, traveled to Branson, Fayetteville, Lakeside, Mackinac, St. Louis, Chicago, Hawaii, and on and on. I went to Cedar Point and finally got on the top thrill dragster. It was just a fun summer and I didn't have to work, I had plenty of money, and a fun traveling buddy.
This summer I had to "grow-up". I got a full time job, going to school full time, raising two, now official, teenage sons, teach one to drive, and no "buddy" to hang with.
There has been a little bit of bitterness cause not everyone is having my summer. Out of no where it hit me.
IT'S NOT BETTER THAN GOD!!!
Last summer is not better than GOD. Wondering if I am offending, doing what God is calling me to do, leading someone astray, not being faithful, forgoing friends. Don't get my wrong it was by far the funnest summer of my adult life but...
NO, LAST SUMMER IS NOT BETTER THAN GOD.
This summer is about GOD and that is BETTER!!!
